  • ADIVAY

    Adivay is a Benguet festival dance praising the god Kabunian for the wonders of creation exorting the young to protect the land and the people, and giving a message of love to a loved one.

     

  • BANGA

    Igorot maidens go to the river and prepare for a marriage ceremony. They display not only their grace and agility, but also their stamina and strength as they go about their daily task of fetching water and balancing the banga, clay pots full of water, on their heads.

     

  • GANGSA

    Gangsa is the most notable brass "gong" common throughout the whole region of the Cordillera. The dance signifies social harmony and prestige to its people.

     

  • PAKONG

    Pakong from Pak'gong is a bamboo organ with a slit in the middle carried by the maidens as they work on their farms. It is used to drive away the snake along the way. The dance also depicts Igorot maidens harvesting rice in terraces of Banaue.
